purify with plants

We love these plants for air purification. Even better when they’re low maintenance and you don’t need a green thumb to keep them alive. Plus, who doesn’t like their home to feel like a little serene getaway?

01. Spider Plants

These plants tend to thrive even when neglected. They love bright to moderate light and moist soil, are safe for mets, and help detoxify the air.

02. Ficus

These plants are great for home and office. They prefer bright indirect light, moist soil and occasional misting throughout. It doesn’t like to be moved around too much so find it’s home within your space and try to stick to it.

03. Peace Lily

Prefers bright light but still can thrive in medium or indirect light. You’ll know when it needs water because its leaves will start to droop and it has an almost immediate response to water / misting.

04. Snake Plant

Also known as mother-in-law’s tongue, they like to be watered at the base and enjoy a rotation every once in a while. Fun fact: snake plants made it to the NASA list of houseplants that clean and filter indoor air.

05. Bamboo Palm

We love the tropical look these plants can help create. It prefers bright light but as long as watered regularly, can survive in lower light settings. Bonus: bamboo is nontoxic to pets.

06. Aloe Vera

What a perfect multi-use plant to keep around. Not only does it look exotic, but the gel-like sap can help heal cuts and burns. Aloe releases oxygen at night, so maybe consider this one for bedrooms.
